Description
The Microsoft Excel SMALL function returns the nth smallest value from a set of values.
Syntax
The syntax for the SMALL function in Microsoft Excel is:
SMALL( array, nth_position )
Parameters or Arguments
- array
- A range or array from which you want to return the nth smallest value.
- nth_position
- The position from the smallest to return.
Note
- If nth_position is larger than the number of values in array, the SMALL function will return the #NUM! error.
- If array is empty, the SMALL function will return the #NUM! error.
